Year 8 News
It has been a super start to the year, with students diving into rich learning tasks across the curriculum.
Curriculum & Culture
Our Year 8s have been actively involved in Statistics, learning how to formulate investigative questions that allow them to gather and analyse data effectively. Alongside our academic focus, our cultural and performing arts programs are now in full swing. We are excited to have started Te Taiopeka, Choir, Hip Hop dance, Marimba, and Aerobics, providing fantastic creative outlets for our students.
Summer Sports
Summer sports are officially underway! Students currently have the option of participating in Touch, Volleyball, Futsal, and Water Polo. We strongly encourage every Year 8 to "give something a go" and make the most of these opportunities in their final year at Tahuna.
Cyber Safety & Parent Evening
Our Cyber Safety unit has begun, with students learning how to navigate the digital world safely and responsibly. This year, we are proud to be implementing the Rob Cope "Our Kids Online" program.
This unit coincides with our Parent Evening on Tuesday, the 17th of March. If you haven't already, please use the link below to reserve your spot:
