Aidan achieves rare High Distinction award in ICAS Spelling exam

Congratulations to Aidan Blakie from Room 18!

In week 7 this term Aidan was one of just over 40 students from Tahuna to sit the ICAS English exam, but one of hundreds of thousands worldwide.

Despite being in the Andy Bay Extra Spelling Quiz team last year that placed third, Aidan was very surprised to receive High Distinction. He expected he would get a participation award at best.

High Distinction means that Aidan has achieved in the top 1% of all students who sat the ICAS exam, in over 20 participating countries.

Well done Aidan on an outstanding result! Ka pai to Mahi!
