Year 7 Speech Competition Success!

Late in Term 3, our Year 7's took on the challenge of each writing a speech and then presenting it to their class. Some even made it all the way through to the Year 7 Speech Competition Final.

It was great to see our Year 7's taking on the challenge of writing and presenting their speeches. From there, three students from each class made it to the second round. Finally, just eight students made it to the Year 7 Speech Competition Final.

Our finalists competed for the beautiful trophy which was very kindly donated last year by the Dunedin Toastmasters Club. Once again, four members of the Toastmasters Club very generously gave up their time to come to Tahuna to judge our final. They did a fantastic job and, after much deliberation, they selected Henry Wilson as the very worthy winner for 2026. Harry Cutler and Lily Sadiasa-Manzhula came second and third respectively.

Congratulations to all of our finalists who all did an amazing job.

We can't wait to see who will be next to have their name engraved on the trophy when we run next year's competition.

Huge thanks to Toastmasters!
