Fair Testing in Room 16

Blubber Glove!! Ever wondered how polar animals stay warm in the ice cold water??

This term we have had a major focus on science and have been learning about the rules of fair testing.  To prepare us for carrying out our own investigations, we have been involved in some really fun experiments in the class.  First we had to figure out our aim, next we added our own hypothesis of what we thought was going to happen, we listed the materials and discussed variables.  Then we got to be practical and investigated.......By using shortening (fat) and cotton wool for the fur between zip lock bags and ice cold water we were able to see exactly how polar animals insulate whilst living in the Arctic.
