Room 3's egg drop challenge

This week, Room 3 decided to have an egg drop challenge to test out our construction and team work skills. The aim was to make a safe and drop-proof parachute to carry your egg off the deck down to the ground. The groups had a choice of 5 different categories they could enter their contraption into: Egg safety, most creative, strongest, teamwork and longest flight. All groups worked hard together to complete their build in 40 minutes. Then it was time for the launch. Each group chose 1 person to be their launcher, as the rest of the class watched from the ground. We had professional timers ready and waiting to give the official times of the eggs' flight. This challenge was enjoyed by the whole class and some fantastic team work was observed!! 

The joint winners of the challenge were Eggsational and The Spring Fishers, ka pai!!
