Kings Football session
By Maia Watson
This term people from the Kings High School football team came to coach us in football skills. One of the students was a year 13 who used to be a year 7 in Miss Brawley's class a long time ago.
We started by playing a cone game where 2 people stood on either side of a cone, my partner was Bridget. The guy would say head, shoulders knees or toes in a random order and when he said cone we would have to grab the cone and who ever got there first would get a point or if we both grabbed the cone at the same time we would do paper, scissors, rock. I got the first point then Bridget got the second point
After that we played octopus but we had to dribble the ball and the people who were in had to try kick the balls out. I made it through till the end but I was the only person left. They called everyone's ball colour but mine so I was the only one to run once again but I got out.
Then we played a game of football there was bibs and no bibs. I played on the no bibs team and we lost. We then packed up thanked them and walked back to class for lunch. It was a lot of fun.
