Term 1 Futsal - it's a wrap!

A huge term of futsal is now complete and we had teams representing Tahuna in the finals this week!

We had 80 students in 10 teams from Tahuna in the competition. The teams represented us proudly across a number of the divisions, and as with any sport, many experienced the highs and lows that only competitive sport can bring.

Every Tuesday afternoon this term our teams have been battling it out in their respective divisions to see who would be crowned the champion. 

On finals night we had teams playing off for 1st, 3rd and 5th. The games were all fiercely competitive with all the players leaving everything out on the court. By the end of the evening Tahuna had a champion team - Tahuna Warriors who took out their division! Congratulations!

Thank you to all the whānau, care givers and supporters for cheering them on, organising the interchange, helping with game strategy, pep talks, sideline medical care, words of encouragement, high 5's and making it so much fun for the kids.

A big congratulations to all the futsal players! We'll see you back on the courts for a big term 4 effort!
