It's a binary world at Tahuna!

This term as part of their ICT programme, Year 7 students are learning binary.

Binary numbers are essential to all electronic devices as that is really all they understand...on and off.

Year 7 students have been exploring the binary number system and learning to count using binary numbers. They have also used binary numbers to represent letters and create secret codes.

To finalise their learning they are now creating teaching videos that will show other students all about binary. Along the way, they will be using a variety of apps including Google Docs, Hapara Workspace, StopMotion Studio, iMovie and Explain Everything. There has been lots of excitement and engagement as they explore these apps, and many creative videos are currently under construction!
