Marae week 2019
Tēnā koutou katoa.
This week all the year 7's experienced a fun and exciting Marae week. We started the week with a Year 7 Pōwhiri, followed by our own class Pōwhiri. Throughout the whole week we took part in many Tikanga Māori activities.
Some of these included:
Weaving Harakeke
Creating Tukutuku panels
Making fried bread
Learning about Māori myths and legends
Creating a poi dance
Learning the school Haka
and many more!
