Great start to the 2018 hockey season

It’s been exciting to see our three Tahuna hockey squads enjoy their first few weeks of the season. Once again we have good numbers involved in Tahuna hockey this year with a good mix of new and experienced players.

All three Tahuna teams have been very competitive in their matches so far. Each team is gelling really well and big improvements have been made already.

As always we are very appreciative of our coaches from outside of the school for their support of Tahuna hockey. This year we are receiving fantastic support from Tavish Voight, James Nicolson and Robbie McCaw. Thanks also to the teachers who are such a big part of making the season a success (thanks to Mrs. Stuart, Mr. Waters and Miss Walsh for all their hard work).

We look forward to more great performances in the coming weeks.

Otago trials are soon (go to the Otago Hockey Association website for more details) and it would be great to see some of our players try out for places in the full Otago or Otago development squads (Hatch for boys & Collier for girls).
