Term 1 highlights!

This term there have been lots of highlights. Our number one for the class was probably camp. Camp was so much fun, we went Yabby hunting, we saw glow worms late at night, we got to do so many activities and a camp concert! Everyone did good acts from jokes to skits and cheerleading.

Another highlight of the term was our “Staring me” homework, we got to make a book about ourselves and our family. Everyone did an amazing job! Some activities we did this term include Team sport, PE, Block run, beep test, and lots of out of school activities, like Volleyball, futsal, rugby and touch.

We have also been focusing on our basic facts and our algorithms.  We have been working on  recount writing and our reading rotations. Every fortnight we go to technology, some people have done art, food tech where you make sushi rolls and more. You also get to do textiles. some hard materials and some Design tech.

When all of us started intermediate we were all nervous. It was really good to have Camp in the first term because we all connected and made friends. In Room 5 we have good friendships and can rely on one another. We have had a great first term, and are excited for many more! We are looking forward to electives and activities such as choir and Taiopeka in Term 2.
