Aurora Science Fair

Aurora Science Fair award winners.

The annual Aurora Science Fair was held last week at the TÅ«hura Otago Museum. Tahuna students attended this event and were successful in winning multiple prizes.

Ava Martin and Keira Morton presented their board on "UV Science" and received the Dodd-Walls Centre for Research Excellence Award and a New Zealand Institute of Chemistry Award.

Ben Walker presented his board on "So Here's My Pitch" and received the Aurora Excellence in Energy Award and Keith Dawber Alternative/Renewable Energy Award.

Beth Fuller, Ameerah McRodden, and Mila Stanley presented their board on "Fizzing Fruits" and received an Aurora Energy Award

Finn Crannitch presented his board on "My dad thinks he knows my voice, does he?" New Zealand Psychological Society Award and the

University of Otago, Department of Psychology Award.

Tess Lawrence and Isobel Reynolds-Strong presented their board Ouch My ears and received Otago Medical Research Foundation Award and a Dodd-Walls Centre for Research Excellence Award.

The students received prize money and invitations to visit the various sponsors to see science in action.
