Daffodil Day 2025 - successful fundraising!

Our 2025 Daffodil Day fundraising efforts at Tahuna were amongst our biggest yet!

A huge thanks to everyone for their support of Tahuna's 2025 Daffodil Day fundraiser for the Cancer Society.

This is one of the fundraisers run by the Tahuna School Council during the year. This year we were determined to make a big success of this fundraiser and we're delighted with the results.

We took a multi-pronged approach to our fundraising efforts:

• during the two weeks running up to Daffodil Day, school councillors sold pin-on daffodils in return for donations

• on Tuesday of this week, Mrs. Scott worked with a team of students to make and then sell themed cupcakes - these sold out quickly!

• we ran a Casual Friday with a yellow theme and the School Council supplied some prizes for some of the many best-dressed

• for the second time, this year we ordered in some of the fresh daffodils offered by the Cancer Society and sold them to Tahuna staff

• across these four areas we raised over $1200 for the Cancer Society

Many thanks to our students for getting involved in the Casual Friday, to Mrs. Scott and her helpers for their efforts, to the group of school councillors who worked so hard on this and to everyone who donated to this important cause.
