Year 8 Term 2 2022

What a great star to the term for the Year 8 team. The weather has been outstanding so far!

Things happening this term:

Standing up For Myself SUFM health unit

Y8 Swimming - Weeks 3 - 6 Teams 4 and 5 on Tuedays and Team 6 on Thursdays

STEAM unit on Kaitiaki Guardians of ourselves

Chemistry - States of Matter focus and hopefully a visit to Otago University Mellor Lab

Matariki celebrations

As you can see a lot happening inside the classroom. Outside the classroom our winter sports programs have kicked off with trials for Basketball, Hockey and Netball teams for after school sport. Badminton and soccer are soon top follow. It would be great to see as many Year 8 students as possible getting involved in a team sport for Tahuna.

Cultural electives started week 1 and sporting due to kick Friday week 2. There a lot of new and exciting options for students to have a go at.

In week 10 will see our Student Led Conferences which will incorporate our formal report for the mid year.
