Tahuna O'Mathalon - A Big Success!

This year, for the first time, we ran our own version of the O'Mathalon at Tahuna. After some initial disappointment when the full Year 7 and 8 O'Mathalons were cancelled due to Covid-19, we realised that, with so many able mathematicians at Tahuna, we could run our own competition.

This turned out to be a great decision with nine teams competing across the two year groups. Each team raced to answer as many of the 30 questions as possible in 30 minutes. After a very intense and highly competitive half hour, we had two clear winners.

The Year 7 competition was won by Lily Barker, Maia Scott and Aidan Blakie. The Year 8 competition was taken out with the maximum possible score by the experienced team of Nic Schollum, Chloe Court, Lucas Armstrong and Andrew Lee.

Congratulations to all of our competitors who showed outstanding teamwork, perseverance and problem-solving skills.
