Tahuna Students Soar at National Aerobics Competition
What a weekend it was for our Tahuna students! We'd like to extend a huge congratulations to all 17 students who competed in the NZ National Aerobics Competition in Christchurch.
Representing our school and their clubs, Jump Start Aerobics and Peak Aerobics Academy, our athletes faced off against over 250 competitors from all over New Zealand.
A team of 12 Tahuna students traveled to Christchurch together with Miss Carvell, Olivia, and Naomi, while five others traveled with their clubs. Their hard work and dedication truly paid off, and we are so proud of the fantastic results they brought back.
We'd also like to say a massive thank you to our coaches, Destiny Carvell and Brooke Hannah. We'd like to also extend a huge thank you to Olivia and Naomi who helped out with our trip to nationals.
Our students put on an incredible performance, bringing home a remarkable number of top placements.

A special mention goes to Sadie (Peak Aerobics Academy), who came in 5th place in the FISAF Junior Women Finals and will represent New Zealand at the World Championships in Prague later this year!
In an incredible first for our school, we were the first intermediate ever to take home the School Shield, which is awarded to the school with the most placings. This is a monumental achievement that truly highlights the strength of our athletes at Tahuna.
Perhaps our most proud achievement was winning the Sportsmanship Trophy. This was due to our students showing great Tahuna values and cheering on everyone, no matter what club or school they were competing for. They showed great manners backstage and wished everyone the best of luck before going on.
Congratulations once again to all our talented students. Your success is a testament to your hard work.
