The future of teaching looks bright!

Today the students were doing the teaching in Rūma Ono.

Last week I let the students know that they would be getting into groups and each planning a 30 minute lesson to lead the class in.

I went over the eight learning areas in our curriculum and challenged the students to plan a lesson ensuring there would be a spread of learning areas covered.

Today we had lessons in Learning Languages, Health & PE, Science, Maths and The Arts.

The students did a great job at planning these lessons with clear learning intentions. The students all really enjoyed the diverse learning experiences and the opportunity to express themselves, share their passions.

I loved seeing the students managing the class, getting their attention and using a few of my management techniques too; it was like watching mini Mr Mins all day (don't know if that's a good thing or not) 🤣.
