Screen Pollution wins 2nd place at BandQuest Otago, and best rock guitarist!

Tahuna bands Moxie and Screen Pollution competed in a very talented line up of 16 bands for BandQuest Otago 2023

And what a great show both bands put on. Congratulations to Screen Pollution winning 2nd place with their songs The Man Who Sold the World (Nirvana version) and Nothing Else Matters (Metallica). Judges quote: "The sax somehow works with Metallica!!" 

Moxie were a blast of colour, confidence and musicianship on the Taieri College PAC stage. Judges quote: "Fantastic outfits!! Nice punchy bass playing". Moxie played Space Girl by Frances Forever, and Prom Queen by Beach Bunny. 

Sam Crawford from Screen Pollution won "Killer Guitarist" playing epic solos on both songs. 

Bathgate Park band UN@Bathgate Park School won first prize.

BandQuest pulls out all the stops for these young musicians providing a great venue with professional sound and light, and our bands sure made the most of it.
