Surviving the Storm: Willa-Mae & Himiko's 40-Hour Challenge

As torrential rain lashed the region and a Red Heavy Rain Warning was issued for coastal Dunedin, Himiko and Willa-Mae pitched their tent and began an unforgettable 40-hour adventure.

40-Hour Challenge Success!

Congratulations to Himiko and Willa-Mae, who successfully completed their 40-Hour Challenge during the Term 2 school holidays!

Their challenge was to spend 40 hours camping in a tent with no power and no electronic devices—completely unplugged and outdoors.

The girls began on Saturday evening, just as torrential rain started to fall and a Red Heavy Rain Warning was issued for coastal Dunedin. Despite the wild weather, constant rain, and challenging conditions, they persevered and completed the full 40 hours in their tent.

Their determination, resilience, and positive attitude were truly impressive. They embraced the challenge, stuck it out through some of the worst weather of the holidays, and proved they could thrive without the comforts of modern technology.
