NZ Sign Language week in R18

By Bridget Gilfedder

Hi my name is Bridget and I’m from room 18. I’m going to be telling you about New Zealand sign language week. New Zealand sign language week was from the 8th to the 14th of May.

During that week, room 18 learnt how to sign the song pepeha by six60. A few people from room 18 volunteered to go on stage and perform. Miss Brawley asked who wanted to introduce us and lots of people put their hands up including me. I was picked. All I had to say was, “Hi I’m Bridget from room 18 and this week our class has been learning to sign the song pepeha by six60. I hope you all enjoy”.

We really enjoyed learning about sign language and learning the moves to the song. We didn't know it was an official language of NZ.
