Chess success for Jacob!

A huge congratulations to Jacob who represented Tahuna at the Chess Power Regional competition yesterday. 

Jacob competed over the day, playing 7 different 15 minute games. 

In the end, Jacob came out on top and placed 1st in the Junior division!

Jacob has now qualified to attend the Chess Nationals which will be held in Auckland later this year. 

Well done Jacob, we are very proud of your achievements!

Jacob had already inspired many other class members to start playing chess and it is now a common game to see happening in Room 1.
