Tahuna An Exciting Place To Be
Term 4 has begun very well with everyone settling back into school routines after the holiday break and it is hard to believe that we are into Week four already.
Despite the wet and cooler weather conditions we have been able to keep to our Term 4 programmes. The School Athletics Sportswere held on the Friday of Week 1 Term 4 and went extremely well despite the fresh conditions in the morning. Those athletes who have done well at our sports have been selected to compete at South Zone Athletics this Wednesday November 8. A Deca Day athletics/sports type programme will be held here at school for those not attending the South Zone sports.
Other events so far completed this term include the Year 8 Rock Climbing, the Taieri rafting adventure, the Year 7 Cycle skills training programme and the Cultural trip to our sister schools in China.
The Summer Sports season is also well underway with Tahuna teams and students involved in Touch, Rippa rugby, Futsal, Water Polo, Table Tennis and Athletics.
It is a busy term with Tahuna students as always engaged and enthusiastic in their learning and making the most of the opportunities offered by our school community. Thank you to all the teachers, coaches, parents and friends of Tahuna who assist us in providing our programmes.
Kind regards
Tony Hunter
Principal
