Room 12 Camp Columba 2024

WOW! What a fun camp!! By Layla and Quinn

In the first week of Term 2 our class went to Camp Columba with Rooms 14 and 16. We left in the morning on Friday at 10 and hopped on the bus we drove 2 hours, it was just past Gore, and arrived at the camp. We met the camp instructors, put our stuff in our cabin, had lunch, then our groups went to our first activity. Our first group went to the concrete slide and our second group went to team initiatives.

The next day some of the activities we did were Abseiling, Orienteering, Kayaking, Top team, and Frisbee golf. We had lots of delicious meals including, Nachos, lasagna, burgers, sausages and mashed potatoes. Some of the deserts we had were ice cream, apple crumble, ambrosia, jelly, mango custard and lots of home baking. Throughout the next 3 days we completed lots of fun activities including Flying Kiwi, High ropes, Low ropes, Bouncy pillow and lots more awesome stuff.

Overall we think this was an amazing experience and would love to come back.
