Materials is the Best!

In materials I have been making my box out of white pine wood. I made my box for my Papa who likes golf and fishing. I like my box because I like the colour green and the lid is a good design. I love working in Materials.

I think I did a really good job on my box. I'm really proud of myself and thankful that you could help. Some of the stuff I did was use the electric sander which made my box feel really nice and smooth. Secondly the colour on my trout and my name really made it pop out. Thirdly, the shape of it was really clean and nice. Next time I think I could use different colours and try out different tools.

In materials tech, we made boxes, and we had to cut, measure and sand. When we added the oil, we used a paper towel and rubbed it all over the wood. The wood we used was white pine. That is only the base of the box; we made lids as well. We used the laser cutter in the E-Tech room. We started by making the designs on the computer, and then we sent them to the laser cutter. We added the lid with hinges and screws.
