Performing Arts still forging a head at Tahuna

Despite the limitations imposed this year, Performing Arts at Tahuna are still going strong.

Our Taiopeka and Pacifica Groups are performing at Otago Boys Auditorium on Thursday 22nd October 6:00-7:30, as the Polyfest had to be cancelled this year.

Marimba, Ukelele, Orchestra and Rockbands have continued to rehearse on a regular basis. Girls Dance and Boys' Performance have been working really hard during our Friday Electives. The commitment of the students to rehearse and learn choreography in their own time has been outstanding. It is not unusual to see individual classes rehearsing in their lunch hour.

Thanks to the individual commitment from Choir students we are still moving forward despite not being able to sing as a group lately. Theatresports has had an increase in numbers trialling for the squad and students are finding this opportunity challenging and fun.

We have some very talented and committed students here at Tahuna and because of this we should be able to deliver our school concert to the expected high standard.

"Tahuna on Stage" will be held at Kings/Queens Performing Arts Centre on Tuesday 8th December.
