Sarah Cohen visit.
8 Year 7 students attended an assembly item held at Sarah Cohen school yesterday making a huge impression.
Members of the Te Taiopeka group travelled over to Sarah Cohen school to help with Maori language week celebrations and thrilled staff and students with 3 waiata. The contingent shared a number of other popular Maori songs via ukulele and were so popular the senior teacher asked for a repeat performance of an earlier item as teachers and audience members wanted to sing it. It was a fabulous community moment enjoyed by Te Taiopeka students and of course the very special audience members.
