Bivvy making in the forest
When we came into the forest we saw the last class huts. I didn’t think we had a chance of making huts as good as Room 20 . My group went out in search of a good place. We found the area and started to gather sticks and logs. They were so heavy that you needed two people to carry them. The hut started to take shape as logs were piled on top. Our hut was in a ditch and was an underground bunker with logs on top for protection from the elements. It had a window out the back to let the sun in. We made hammers with pine cones connected to a stick to bash the ground up. We made stairs leading down to the entrance. There was a seat you could sit on if you needed to. The entrance log scratched you when you crawled into the hut. The roof was covered in pine needles and dirt.
When time was up we went on a tour of the other huts. Our underground hut came 2nd place to a very decorated hut.
