Camp Tirohanga - Waterslide of Doom!
Written by Jessie Faulkner.
It was a very hot day so the parent helpers set up a water slide (made out of a really big tarpaulin) down the hill. They poured dish washing liquid and water on the slide to make it slippery. We lined up and took turns sliding down.
It got a bit windy so they put tires on the edges of the slide to make sure it wouldn’t blow away. It was scary because you think that you're going to crash into them. In the end we were really soapy and we had grass stuck to our swimming togs but we enjoyed it.
