Year 8 Start

What an awesome start for the Year 8 team. Students are excited to get to know their classroom teacher as well as their new classmates. I have found this to be a really positive experience.

So far we have had Rooms 9 and 14 out on camp. Having visited them throughout the week both classes were having an awesome time as well as some amazing weather. Off to cmap this week is Room 12 we wish them all the best. 

Last week we had Jude Wall from SDHB talk to all students about the HPV vaccinations. You should have received a immunisation from your child by now (unless they were at camp. They will be going out this week). If not please email your classroom teacher or the office and one will be sent home with your child. It would be great to get these back to classroom teachers as soon as possible. The first immunisation date is in week 2 term 2 Tuesday 2nd May. 

Summer sports are under way and it has been wonderful to see students getting involved. Currently we have Futsal, waterpolo, touch  and volleyball being played throughout the week. This is a great opportunity for Year 8 students to give something a go in their final year.

Parent teacher interviews are in week 5 Monday and Tuesday (Room's 10 and 15 will be held in week 6 as they are at camp). A link has been emailed out. If you are having trouble booking please email your classroom teacher or the office. We really look forward to seeing you there.

So much happening already!
