Griffin Wingham and Jasper Rainey love rugby!

The U13 Pirates Skulls rugby team (of which Griffin is the Vice Captain) won the U13 Rugby Championship. The Skulls have now won the U11, U12 and U13 grades consecutively and haven’t lost a game since they were in U11s. 

It is the first time Pirates have won the U13 shield in 20 years so its an amazing achievement.

Jasper plays in the U13 Southern Magpies.

Recently, Griffin and Jasper have both been selected for the Otago U48kg Invitational Team to compete in the South Island Championship in late September.

Keep an eye on these two young players, there is a lot of talent between them!
