Candidate Statement – John Sample Kia ora koutou, My name is John Sample, and I’m putting my name forward for the school board elections. I’m a local farmer and proud parent with a strong interest in supporting our tamariki and school community. Having previously served on a school board, I bring experience, practical thinking, and a solid understanding of governance. I’m passionate about helping our school provide the best possible environment for learning and growth—both inside and outside the classroom. I believe in open communication, strong community involvement, and making sure every student is supported to succeed. I enjoy playing squash in my spare time and believe in the value of sport and wellbeing as part of a well-rounded education. I’d be honoured to represent our parent community again and work alongside the board, staff, and whānau to support our school’s continued success. Ngā mihi,

Candidate Statement – Lisa Thompson Kia ora, My name is Lisa Thompson, and I’m excited to stand for the school board. I’m a local nurse, a proud mum of two children currently at the school, and someone who’s passionate about supporting our kura and community. With a background in healthcare, I bring a strong focus on wellbeing, resilience, and creating safe, inclusive spaces for all learners. I believe every child deserves to thrive and that strong relationships between whānau, staff, and the board are key to achieving that. I’m community-minded, practical, and a good listener. While this would be my first time on a school board, I’m keen to contribute positively and bring a fresh perspective. I’d love the opportunity to serve and help make our school the best it can be for all our tamariki. Ngā mihi nui, |
