Paid Union Meeting -

Wednesday 31 May - 1:30-3pm

The strike planned for Wednesday, 31 May has been canceled after negotiations between the Union and the Ministry. 

NZEI Te Riu Roa members covered by the PTCA have been offered the opportunity to hold special paid union meetings in schools on Wednesday, 31 May 2023 from 1:30pm- 3pm.

Therefore Tahuna Normal Intermediate School will be closed from 1:00pm on Wednesday the 31st of  May.

  • Tuesday 30 May: Revised 4th offer sent to primary teacher members

  • 1:30pm-3pm, Wednesday 31 May: Paid union meetings. (In school meetings.)

  • 5pm, Wednesday 31 May to 5pm, Tuesday 6 June: Voting on offer via electronic ballot.

  • Wednesday 7 June: Notice to members with outcome of the vote, and next steps.
