Interschool Football

On Friday the 10th June we had our first Interschool Football Match. It was exciting and overall a very successful game. Our boys played as a team and were supportive towards each other's endeavours.

DNI played well and took the initial lead, but with everyone in our squad communicating well, we rallied and were leading 2 -1 in the second half. Nikau and I were impressed with our team’s commitment, getting involved and most of all enjoying football.

We maintained our lead until the last 3mins but suddenly a quick cross from DNI slipped in the back of the net. The final score was a 2-2 draw but the best thing was everyone was proud of their efforts. We walked off the pitch proudly, ready for our next game.

Jamie was correct in his belief in the team; subsequently we have had two very satisfying wins this term against Kavanagh and Balmacewan  Schools. Well done lads!
