International Football Experience
Next Friday on the 18th of August the Dunedin Technical Lions are leaving on a football tournament in Japan.
Five students from Tahuna are going Riley Maclean, James More, Matai Davidson, Liam Boomer and Cameron Elliot.
We are going to Tokyo to play against some of the best teams in the world such as Arsenal Youth, Bayern Munich Youth and Barcelona Youth. The reason we are going to Japan is because we won the Christchurch International Cup and got an invite to the Japanese International Challenge Cup. We are taking a squad of 20 players to Japan because of the intense heat. In Japan it’s going to be like 40 degrees, and in Dunedin we find 20 hot! First we catch a plane from Dunedin to Auckland then have a 4 hour wait at the airport. After that we have a 11 hour flight and touch down in Tokyo at midnight. We then have a pre tournament to warm up and then the real tournament begins. The tournament lasts for 2 weeks. We are looking forward to it and will all have a great time.
