Water quality at Tomahawk questionable

Today was the first trip of the year to do water testing at Tomahawk with Mr Andrew Innes.

Before even looking at the water by using the hydrology testing equipment we could see a milky grey, cloudy appearance to the water. Looking closer we could see 20+ dead common bullies (bullies are a common native freshwater fish species). In the eight years we have been carrying out regular testing we haven't seen this combination before.  Once the water analysis is done by Mr Innes it will be interesting to see what the data says. A toxic algal bloom could be to blame. More information to follow.
