Tahuna Communicate with Buddies from Onerāhi
Ngā Mea Māori participants work in small groups with their new friends in the North Island
Although we have had some technical difficulties, the students in the Ngā Mea Māori elective have stuck at it and finally made connection with their small groups in Onerāhi Primary school.
We have sung songs to each other, and had a go at singing together via Zoom.
We have shared our target kupu in small groups and played games such as Simon says using Te Reo, Paper, Scissors, Rock, Eye Spy, all the while having fun with our new found friends. We have also enjoyed sharing picture books together via Google meet.
It's great making connections with another school in the North Island.
Tahuna students took their buddies on a live guided tour of the school which they really enjoyed.
Next week will be our final hui. We hope our friends will have received our pictures sent through the mail.
Ngā mihi nui ki a koutou!
