Kia Ora Koutou, Nau Mai Haere Mai

A special welcome to all new and returning students and families for another exciting year at Tahuna. The school year is well underway and our school programmes have begun well.

We started the year welcoming our new students in our traditional way by calling them into the school hall where they were warmly welcomed by Taiopeka, our kapahaka group and the rest of the school. It is a symbolic ceremony that makes the new arrivals become and feel part of Tahuna. Staff were also introduced to the students.

It has been great to observe how well everybody has settled into the school and as always our school values of Respect, Responsibility, Creativity and Success are at the forefront of our activities and programmes.
