Introduction.
Kelly Slater is one of the best surfers of all time he won competitions from a young age and was a very talented surfer from a young age and he went on to win multiple world titles and many pipe masters. He won an international event at the age of 49. He has won so many trophies he is always going to be the G.O.A.T
Early Life
Robert Kelly Slater the best surfer of all time was born on the 11 of February 1972 in Cocoa beach California. His mother is Judy Moriarity and his father is Stephen Slater he has two brothers Sean and Stephen. Slater grew up near the water and started surfing at the age of 5. He was always very competitive with his brothers and would always see if he could dibs the deep end of the bath. By age 10 Slater was winning events all along the Atlantic coast. In 1984 he won his very first age-division United States championship title. Two years later he entered the world amateur championship in England and he finished in third. The following year he won the Pacific Cup junior championship in Australia. From this young age he was a very talented surfer and was already winning many competitions and was destined for a world title.

The Pipe Masters is held in Oahu north shore. Pipeline is considered one of the most dangerous waves in the world. On a good day it can have wide open powerful barrels sucking up off the reef.

The world surf league also known as the WSL is the big competition that happens every year held all around the world in many different locations. The surf could be pelling barrels or it could be onshore crumble. As long as it's surfable they will go out.

Kelly Slater has won so many competitions it's unbelievable. Kelly is also the youngest and oldest man to win a WSL title in the open men category.
Where He Is Now
Kelly Slater is now 51 and still surfing in the WSL. In the 2023 mid-season cut he was 24 so just a couple of places too low. Still it's pretty impressive to make it at the age of 51.
