Integrating maths and science

Recently in maths we’ve been exploring length, perimeter, area and volume. There have been a range of activities designed to challenge all of the learners in the class. Recently we decided to take the learning a step further by integrating M-bots and drones.

Students were challenged to think about distance, angles, speed, rotations, plus much more to navigate their M-Bots through the courses.

Students using the drones were challenged to  problem solve using number and measurement knowledge. They were set the challenge to first construct then navigate their drones around a course where there were multiple pathways, then successfully fly them through their map.
