19A - Berwick Camp Day 1

On the 28th of October 2020 room 19A went to camp Berwick.
The parents that went to camp were.
Mr Crooks
Mr Gilks
Mr Jones.
We hopped on the bus filled with excitement as we were on our way to camp at last.
When we arrived we unpacked the bus. Then the camp warden talked to us about the places we could go and could not go.
After that we went on a small walk around the lake.
We then had some morning tea before stating our tramp.
Then we were off on our tramp walking up a hill but it was ok because we were under the shade of pine trees as we got further in on the tramp it got mudder and mudder you had to be careful where you stood otherwise your foot would just slowly sink into the mud. We walked for a long time but it seemed short. But eventually got to the “Cafe” and ate our lunch. On the way back to camp we took a different route back there was a lot of gorse but not so much mud when we eventually got back to camp we picked our tents.
Then we did some team building activities.
We had the walter bucket challenge.(Nathan feel in the creek)
The spider web challenge and the grass skis.
These work well for building our team work.
I think the spider web challenge had to be the hardest because we could only go through one hole at a time and could not reuse it again.
I think a lot of people enjoyed the bucket challenge because you got wet.
After we went on the water slide and had water balloons most people got soaked.
Not long after we fished on the water slide we cooked our tea which was burgers after we finished eating we did the dishes.
Not long after that we had the camp concert.
Nathan and Harley won
Nathan played a piece on the piano
And Harley did a comedy act.
Mr Min then got his phone and told some “Scary” stories by a “campfire”.
After Mr Min finished doing that we went on the night walk where the parents would jump out and scare us. Some people were scared and some weren't but overall i think the night walk was really fun.
We played spot light after Harley won all 3 times it was fun.
When we eventually went to bed it was very late and i think we were all very tired.
We had a wonderful first day at camp.
