Mission to Mars

Term 3 STEAM- Mission to Mars

This week team one started their Mission to Mars. The classes are rotating around four workshops during our tech weeks. The classes are doing cardboard constructions, EV3 robotics, Minecraft/ Cospaces villages and rocket launching.

The students are staying in their tech groups and spending the week having a go at the basics of each of the workshops. In week 6 the students will then specialise in one of the four areas. 

The focus for the final three tech weeks will be developing an outcome for our STEAM Cluster presentation which informs people about journeys and communities associated with colonising Mars.

Maths has been fully integrated into this uint as the children are making and measuring shapes and angles. Learning about coordinate geometry, vectors.
