An extra special visit to the library

It's not only the books we learn from in the Tahuna library.

In the Hub we're exploring the wonderful world of picture books and the important role they play in helping us all learn and make sense of the world around us.

Our students have all been reading a wide range of picture books and having some of their teachers personal favourites read to them. 

Now it's time to write our own picture books!

Each student now has a clear idea of their own story, the plot, the characters, the message and the setting(s).

While having one of our regular library visits Ms Burrows, our school librarian, shared some of her favourite stories and provided useful tips to make the students' picture book writing even better, more powerful, interesting and colourful. 

We can't wait to read the picture books that will be created and published over the next 2 1/2 weeks.
