Room 9 Climb to New Heights
Room 9 completed their Long Beach Rock Climb and what a successful day!
Long Beach was a hit! After completing our climbing experience at Logan Park, we were itching to get out to Long Beach and test our new climbing skills on some real rock walls.
Half of the class got to climb, while the other half of the class went to the caves to explore. While at the caves we saw multiple groups of Blue Penguins tucked away in the smallest of gaps and a seal swimming in the sea! It was a wonderful experience and really cool to see some of our wildlife up close and personal. We also played volleyball on the beach and lapped up the sunshine while it lasted!
At the wall, the students of Room 9, along with our wonderful parents, were working hard to practise our climbing skills and for some, overcome our fear and the challenge of climbing. It was great to see so many students achieve their goals and everyone showing determination and giving it a go. It was crazy cool seeing so many students reaching the top of their rock climb and we were lucky to have trustworthy and encouraging belayers to support us in getting back down safely!
Well done to everyone on a successful trip!
