Year 7 column failure!

The Year 7s have been busy for the past three weeks focusing on cardboard construction techniques and hands-on physics activities.

The students have been making balloon cars, aeroplane launchers, catapults, and levers in preparation for building their arcade games.

A big thank you to Video Tech for providing games for our ignitor. The students had a great time exploring the arcade games and looking at the physics behind them.

In reading and writing, we have been studying the book "How Was It Built?" by Roma Argawal, a structural engineer. Check out the columns that failed under the weight of the classroom equipment in the pictures below.
