Future football stars in 19A

Over the past few weeks our PE focus has been on the beautiful game .

To kick things off ..... we had the help of some of the members of the Kings' junior and senior 1st XI to help run a skills, drills and game session. This was a great opportunity for those who already play to get some guidance from more senior players, it also lit the fire for others to develop some skills with a new game.

We've also been working together on some key skills required in football; ball control, dribbling, passing, shooting, game vision and creating space.

Seeing some of the students who already play a lot of football support others was very pleasing. As was seeing the skills of those who were less confident and experienced develop over our football sessions.

Who knows, we may have uncovered a future Messi, Chris Wood or Hannah Wilkinson.
