Science Fair
During this term, Rm 19 and 19a having been working hard to complete their Science Fair Projects. From bacteria on phones, to making energy from waste, The Hub has all the ideas! By Pippi Thomlinson
We started off with small presentations of experiments, then we learnt the rules of fair testing and scientific language, such as a hypothesis, variables and procedural writing.
We then had 8 weeks to carry out our fair tests, sort the results and put them neatly onto a board to present to the class, and then the judges.
Coming to the end of the term, every now and then we would have self- choice sessions, where we had to prioritise. Many chose science fair, and the floor became littered with half finished boards, not-yet-stuck-on results, and other bits and pieces.
Now that our creation time has come to an end, the class presentations have started.
Standing up in front of the class is quite scary, but showing everyone the hard work we put into it and celebrating our success really made it worth it.
