Tahuna - 2024 Otago Lit Quiz Champions!!

An exciting day at DNI with tough competition, but we came out on top.

On Friday 15th March two teams of elite readers represented Tahuna at the Lit Quiz Otago Regional Final!

In this quiz twenty + teams of kids aged 8 -13 battle against each other by answering questions based on literary content, including classics, popular children's novels, nursery rhymes, picture books etc. 

There are ten rounds of ten questions that all have different categories. This year some of the categories were insects, babies, archery and mythology. Teams picked a joker round where they could double their points.

It was a tight race but in the end the winner was Tahuna Team One with 78 points and a very strong finish from Tahuna Team Two; over all both teams have made Tahuna very proud.

This is the fourth year in a row Tahuna has won the Otago regionals and the third year in a row we will be representing Otago at Nationals.

On Saturday 15 June the winning Tahuna team will be in  Wellington at the National Library where we will compete in the NZ National final. We can't wait!
