Statistics in Year 8 Mathematics

In the Room 9 Maths class, students have been busy interviewing each other to gather data for their statistical investigations.

This is an excellent unit to start the year off as we find out information about our peers and learn about Statistics along the way.

"I found out new things about my classmates".

"I found this useful to get to know everyone's names".

The students decided on a suitable question for an investigation in groups. They then interviewed each other and tallied up their results. Once this was completed, each group had to graph their results and write some statements about what they had found out.
