Tahuna students enjoy return to school
What a great return to school we have had over the past two weeks with our students and staff really embracing the opportunity to be at school again.
As can be seen by the video images above Tahuna students really stepped up to new required conditions of Alert level 2 - the social distancing, the hygiene requirements and entry/exit guidelines. It has been a very smooth process aided by the very settled weather conditions which allowed children to meet up with friends and classmates, to socialise, to play and work together.
Thank you to parents and caregivers for your support in getting your children prepared and back into school. The drop off and pick ups have been great and something that we wish to keep in place going into the future. For some it has been a challenge to get back into the school routines, bed times and adjusting to face to face education again. We are now have 95% of students attending daily, having fun and enjoying school.
With Alert Level 1 in our sights now we are looking forward to getting into the full swing of our normal school programmes and activities. Sports will be starting up again with usual winter codes available for students to participate in. Our music and Specialist programmes are fully underway now and EOTC activities are being planned for the rest of the year.
