Tahuna Hip Hop Crews Shine at NZ Schools Hip Hop Championships! 🔥

Congratulations to our incredible Tahuna Normal Intermediate Hip Hop crews, Mana Tama and Mana Wahine, who represented our school with pride at the NZ Schools Hip Hop Competition over the weekend!

Congratulations to our incredible Tahuna Normal Intermediate Hip Hop crews, Mana Tama and Mana Wahine, who represented our school with pride at the NZ Schools Hip Hop Competition over the weekend!

Dunedin was buzzing with energy as hundreds of talented students from across Aotearoa came together to dance it out at the NZ Championships. Among the incredible competition, our two Tahuna crews stepped up, showcased their hard work and dedication, and delivered some remarkable performances.

Both Mana Tama and Mana Wahine danced their way through the competition, knocking out half of the competing teams to secure their places in the finals! What an outstanding achievement and a testament to the commitment, passion and teamwork of our dancers.

A special congratulations goes to Mana Tama, who brought home the silver medal! 🥈 This is an amazing accomplishment, and we couldn't be prouder of the way both crews represented Tahuna.

A special shout-out also goes to our other talented Tahuna students who represented their dance school crews at the competition! It was fantastic to see so many of our students taking to the stage, sharing their passion for dance and representing their dance schools with pride. We are incredibly proud of all our Tahuna dancers and the dedication, energy and commitment they bring to their craft. What an awesome achievement for our wider Tahuna dance whānau!

While the competition may be over, the dancing certainly isn't! Our crews are now looking ahead to an exciting line-up of performance opportunities coming up in Term 4.

Keep an eye out for the awesome performances that Mana Toroa, Mana Tama and Mana Wahine will be involved in next term. We can't wait to see these talented dancers take the stage once again!
